The acquisition is another important step on DSI’s strategy to strengthen its foothold in the European mining market.

Schaum-Chemie Mikolow will become DSI’s platform for the Polish and Czech mining markets. The company hopes the acquisition will complement its growing product portfolio.

The company’s product range offers injection resins, cavity-filling foams and mineral powders, including relevant accessories for tasks in underground mining.

DSI CEO Patrick Nolker said: “The acquisition allows DSI to penetrate the Polish and Czech mining markets, which are, despite the current slowdown, among the largest in Europe.

“I am pleased to welcome a strong team of experts which will further support DSI’s global product line expansion towards chemical and mineral products for underground application. ”
