Aquila coal production reaches 52,000t

For the first half of October, Bounty ran only one production unit due to the second unit being moved from the A100 Panel, which is over subsided ground, to virgin ground in the Aquila Mains.

“While the board is pleased with the improved tonnage there is still considerable room for improvement in production tonnes now that the two units are operating over un-subsided ground,” the company said.

“The last two months’ production figures confirm Bounty is starting to benefit from development work undertaken over the last nine months.”
