The continuing globalisation of the mining industry, accelerated by the rapid growth in regions like Eastern Europe and Central Asia, has increased demand and competition for Mincom’s commercial software.
The company said its success in these emerging markets demonstrated it had responded well to these demanding market conditions.
Queensland Premier and Minister for Trade Peter Beattie congratulated the company as well as other Queensland finalists for their contribution to the state’s export industry.
“Mincom is a major global solution provider specialising in Enterprise Asset Management for asset-intensive organisations in mining, utilities, transport, defence and government,” he said.
“It is Australia’s largest commercial software developer, has customers in more than 40 countries and has 18 offices throughout Australia, North and South America, South-East Asia, Africa and Europe.”
More than 600 business people attended the event last Thursday at the Sofitel Melbourne where exporters across industry groups and of various sizes were recognised for their achievements.
