APAC will embark on the next phase of exploration and development work for its PT Batubara Selarus Sapta concession in Central East Kalimantan, Indonesia.
The company has appointed the Ravensgate geological team that carried out the initial JORC compliance review over the land to continue investigating the resource.
APAC listed in July this year, and initial investigations have found a 5.1 million tonne JORC resource in a small portion of the concession called the Bekosos Lempesu Block.
The Bekosos Lempesu Block makes up 1.3% of APAC’s land concession with 90% unexplored.
The development program will continue with drilling to up the resource base.
APAC chairman Paul Piercy said the board was confident the next phase of work would result in a substantial increase of resource.
