The Vibromac 200 was developed from the Vibromac 100, which has been used to monitor the vibration of Schenck screens, as well as bearing condition.
The 200 system comes with two accelerometers which are able to monitor the condition of the main shaft bearings as well as the bearing condition of the two out-of-balance vibrator motors.
The system allows online stroke adjustment of the centrifuge and can be used to set the maximum and minimum stroke and to adjust the vibrator drives to meet these parameters.
Vibration monitoring can detect basket out-of balance caused by build up, or basket breakage. The system is able to shut the centrifuge down before major damage occurs.
The Vibromac 200 system can monitor the condition of bearings on the main drive and vibrator motors. An alarm will alert the operator of the need for bearing maintenance. The alarm can be set to allow adequate time for scheduling maintenance for the next planned shutdown.
The Vibromac 200 comes as a complete control package, which can be interfaced with PLC or DCS systems, or can be stand alone, using industrial PC and proprietary software logic system.
The benefits of the system are increased performance and decreased unplanned
downtime.
The Vibromac 200 system is available as an optional feature for the Schenck Coarse Coal centrifuge model SCC. Some features of the Vibromac 200 system are also retrofit-able on other makes of centrifuge.
