Carter said the event will bring together major resource companies and potential suppliers and service providers from central Queensland and Australia to stimulate growth in a time of global economic uncertainty.
“It is important in today’s economic climate to have a long-term perspective with regards to the resource industry,” he said.
“It’s great to see such a strong interest from exhibitors at this year’s QREX. I believe it highlights the strength of our region’s economic stability.”
Key sponsors of QREX include the Queensland state government, the Queensland Resources Council, Rockhampton Regional Council, Rockhampton Regional Development and Central Queensland University.
The opening launch will be held at the Rockhampton Regional Library on March 9 at 9.30am.
Trade displays have been organised by Reed Exhibitions.
