The three-year contract will see NRW supply explosives and blasting services to John Holland Group through its wholly owned subsidiary Action Drill & Blast.
Action had already been working at Isaac Plains on a short-term contract since July.
NRW chief executive Jules Pemberton said he was pleased to secure a long-term contract with a company such as John Holland.
“NRW is extremely pleased with the way the Action Drill & Blast team has strengthened its position as a provider of superior drilling and blasting services,” he said.
Isaac Plains is an open cut mining operation that started production in 2006, with an annual production capacity of 2.8 million tonnes, of which coking coal for steel production accounts for approximately 70%, with the remainder thermal coal.
It is a 50:50 joint venture between Vale Australia and Ocean Coal Mining, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation.
Shares in NRW gained 4.5c to $2.205.
