The company, which has collated drilling data in the Maryborough Basin that will be used to construct a geological model, said its exploration program remained on track.
“Tiaro holds interest in a number of coal exploration tenements in the Maryborough Basin in Queensland, including EPCs 956 and 957,” it said.
“The Gympie, Maryborough and Bundaberg region was among many areas of Queensland and New South Wales badly affected by recent heavy rains and flooding.
“While much of Tiaro’s exploration tenements in this area were subject to this weather event, Tiaro had no exploration activities underway in the field at the time of the flooding and has no plans for immediate deployment.
“Hence Tiaro’s exploration program has been unaffected by these floods.”
Tiaro geologists have completed the review of the drilling data and logs from the program and have updated the geological database.
The database is being provided to independent geologists RungePincockMinarco, which will review the data, prepare a geological model and then provide an updated JORC resource estimate.
The geological review and updated modelling would also allow definition of the next stage of exploration on EPCs 956 and 957, the company said.
