"Longwall Associates Australia has had outstanding success in one of the toughest markets in the world," Beattie said.
"I'm advised that it can take years to bed down deals of this magnitude, but in this case Longwall Associates Australia clinched a $10 million co-operative agreement with the Huainan Coal Mining Group in record time.
"The deal for the supply of coal face conveyor equipment was a direct result of Longwall Associates Australia taking part in the Queensland Government mining trade mission.
"It also coincided with the company finalising a $7.8 million contract it had in the pipeline with Daning Mine, an Asian-American joint venture in Jincheng Shanxi province.
Beattie described this as good news for Mackay where the company employs 40 people in its manufacturing operations. Business worth millions of dollars could be in the pipeline over the next few years he added.
Beattie expressed the hope that a recently completed trade and investment mission to Chile was just as successful.
"The mission focussed on mining and we held detailed discussions with senior executives of mining companies and the acting Minister for Mines about Queensland's expertise,” Beattie said.
