Penn ticks 2004 profit

The company said increased royalty revenue stemmed from increased tonnage mines at PVR’s properties and strong market conditions.

Fourth quarter net income was $8.6 million.

PVR said it made strong strategic leaps during 2004 by adding fee-based assets to its portfolio, including a coal handling joint venture with Massey Energy.

PVR owns properties in New Mexico, Virginia and West Virginia.
