AMEC has offered GRD a cash price of 55c per share, a 25% premium to GRD’s current share price.
AMEC said it had undertaken due diligence on GRD Minproc and the Lancashire Waste Project, but the proposal was conditional to completion of due diligence and signing a binding implementation agreement.
GRD said it was continuing negotiations with AMEC.
GRD has secured a number of contracts this year, including a definitive feasibility study at the Angostura gold-silver project in Colombia; basic engineering design work for Bahia Mineracao Limitada’s Pedra de Ferro project in Brazil; definitive feasibility study for PanAust’s Ban Houayxai gold-silver project in Laos; study, engineering and project management services at Platina Resources’ Skaergaard project in Greenland; and the design of the materials handling areas at Felix Resources’ Moolarben coal project in New South Wales.
The company was trading 41c this morning.
