The upgraded D11 Dozer

The D11 Dozer is a market leader across the mining industry and the biggest Cat dozer on the market.

But when Caterpillar's customers asked if the company could make the best large dozer in the industry even better, Caterpillar was all ears.

The intelligent D11 has always been a strong and proven product and a market leader in the territory the company treads, so it was no surprise customers asked Caterpillar to keep everything they love about the D11 but just make it more productive and efficient to lower costs.

Fully redesigned, the new Cat D11 Dozer is safer; performs better; lasts longer; and delivers a more positive impact to the customer's bottom line.

Fitted with a sophisticated machine protection strategy, the smart dozer also comes with a machine guidance system that further drives productivity and increases fuel efficiency.

With this latest technology operators have full command of the dozer; which means they can comfortably move more material in less time at a lower cost per tonne.

This means a faster payback on the customer's investment.

Backed by the support of Hastings Deering and their uncompromising service and expert solutions, customers can keep moving with the upgraded D11.

Hastings Deering is one of the Top 5 Cat dealers in the world and Australia's biggest, by revenue.

Trusted by Caterpillar as the exclusive seller of Cat equipment and technology solutions out of 23 business centres throughout Queensland, the Northern Territory, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and New Caledonia; Hastings Deering also provides parts and service support.

The new model Cat D11 is designed to go one full life more than the old model; about 30,000 hours.

It also has improved productivity and control and enhanced safety features, with 10% more power in reverse and better cooling.

Hastings Deering has reported a spike in interest by some of its biggest buyers as the launch of the upgraded D11 gets closer (early 2020).

This customer demand is highlighted by the number of pre-sale orders already received by Hastings Deering, one of the largest Cat dealers across the globe.

Hastings Deering general manager of mining and Pacific Islands Jason Smith says the upgraded dozer comes with a major draw card -a brand new load sensing hydraulic system.

This new system, Smith says, means faster cycle times and greater fuel efficiency.

"The oil pan is 30% larger than the previous model, meaning that engine oil servicing only needs to take place in greater than 500-hr intervals which is double the previous model."
