Following the completion of its 40,000 square foot expansion in Chilhowie, Virginia, the company began investigating other growth opportunities in the US.
In December 2006, the growing AFC supplier opened a Western US facility in Price, Utah.
Western region sales and service engineer Jimmy Jensen heads up the facility.
The company said in the past two years it had generated a great deal of work in the Western US, from the low seam conveyor installations to rebuilds and also components into Mexico.
The company said the Utah facility was critical to meet the projected growth rates for the company’s longwall equipment both stateside and abroad as well as an integral logistic component of its growing operations.
