A highlight in the display will be Ampcontrol’s award-winning monitoring and control system, known as iMAC.
Ampcontrol said the iMAC used communication protocols with highly engineered fault-finding mechanisms to reduce downtime.
It has been used in conveyor belts more than 50 kilometres long.
Also on show will be Ampcontrol’s IS LED longwall lighting system.
Ampcontrol chief operating officer Rod Henderson said the lighting system could be configured to suit the needs of individual longwalls.
“The system is installed in many Australian longwall mines and features a modular, low-profile design and magnet mounting for quick and flexible placement,” Henderson said.
Ampcontrol’s longwall replica will include the company’s Gasguard range of sensing equipment, which has been used in mines in China and South Africa.
Henderson said the Gasguard had proven extremely reliable in monitoring the presence of oxygen, methane, carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulfide.
Ampcontrol specialises in the design and manufacturing of longwall packages, integrating power distribution, monitoring and control and electrical systems.
Ampcontrol will be on stand 916 during AIMEX from September 6-9.
