Minova steps up Lokset Resin production

The additional manufacturing plant was designed with international input from associated Minova companies to include state-of-the-art controls and materials. The turnkey operation has been operating for several months as a backup to the main manufacturing plant.

Minova Australia CEO Garry Ashford said the Minova Lokset resin capsule is an integral component of the strata reinforcement system used in the mining and tunnelling industry.

“Minova are the world’s leading producer of resin capsules for rock bolting. The Lokset resin capsule range includes specifically developed formulations for the Australasian region, with over 500 possible capsule variations,” the company said.

Ashford said the new facility was necessary in order to provide reliability of quality ground support consumables to the mining industry.

“The additional facility underpins Minova's commitment to the mining and tunnelling industries – providing all mines, Minova customers and distributors greater confidence in our ability to ensure continuity of supply for the growing demand of Minova’s Lokset resin capsule brand.”

The new production plant is housed in an independent facility, set apart from Minova’s current resin manufacturing operation, which will also continue producing the Lokset resin capsules. Both plants will have similar production output capabilities.
