Mining industry representatives heard a seminar on Project Management & Procurement Strategy with Barclay Mowlem, Bechtel, GHD and BMA Coal presenting. Special guests included representatives from Anglo Coal, BMA Coal, Comalco, Prime Infrastructure, Aker Kvaerner, Thiess-Sedgman Joint Venture, Queensland Resources Council, Queensland Government and Australian Industry Group.
MESCA has held 117 industry briefings since 1995 alone, with 6700 people attending over this period of time.
Topics at MESCA briefings this year have included Anglo Coal projects, AGD Mining’s gold project, Yancoal’s Austar coal mine project in Maitland, CBH Resources on Broken Hill and Endeavor Mines, the Hail Creek expansion and Arrow Energy’s gas projects in Gladstone.
