The deal with United Steelworkers Local 7884 is for a five-year term, expiring April 30, 2016.
“The union negotiating committee is unanimously recommending ratification of the tentative collective agreement to its membership,” the company said.
Teck added it would not release any details until that ratification was secured.
Fording River’s current agreement expired April 30.
The news comes after a two-month strike at Teck’s Elkview operation. While the parties initially could not agree on a labor agreement, a deal was reached in early April that put the mine’s staff back to work April 8.
Fording River mine produces about 8.7 million tons annually.
