Becker Mining Systems will show its PROMOS PLUS, a user-friendly automation system; its Leaky Feeder communication system; its Tagging and Tracking System; and flameproof transformers and switchgear.
Becker Mining Systems produces two automation systems, Beta Control and Promos Plus, and plans to highlight the flameproof “BetaWork” computer. The robust computer casing encloses the most advanced computer technology incorporating a fibre optic port that can be integrated in ERP systems.
In underground mining communications Becker Mining Systems uses leaky feeder radio technology that allows voice messages, data or video to be transmitted by co-axial cable.
The company’s tagging and tracking system is able to track every movement of people, machinery or materials. Potentially dangerous situations can be identified at an early stage allowing prompt reaction in the case of accidents.
“The display of leaky feeder and tagging and tracking at QME will demonstrate the capabilities of both systems in great detail,” the company said.
Becker’s ENDIS (ENergy Distribution System) product line includes transformers, control panels and plug-in systems. At QME the KE 1004 control panel able to operate with a mains voltage of up to 1.1 KV will be on display. All Becker control panels are characterized by the ease in which their safety modules may be changed. The modules are ready-to-use units integrating operational safety, control and monitoring electronics. The module is inserted into the control panel, activated by the selector and is ready to go.
Becker Mining Systems equipment will be made available through an Australian corporation partner, yet to be determined. Discussions with testing authorities regarding intrinsically safe approvals for the Australian market are underway.
Make sure you catch up with the Longwalls News team who will be at QME, stand 4064, under the Aspermont banner.
